Barber Glass has spent a tremendous amount of dollars to ensure that all Ministry of Environment regulations have been met and the highest environmental standards have been maintained.

Opening an Account

BGI reserves the right to sell on a wholesale basis to established accounts only. To establish an account, a Customer Credit Application must be completed, signed and forwarded to our office for review and potential approval by Barber Glass Industies. Until that time, all orders must be prepaid or COD, at our option. Open credit terms may be granted after our review of your application. Credit terms granted are subject to BGI's ongoing approval and BGI may, at its sole discretion withdraw or modify the credit terms as the buyers credit or financial status changes.

Terms

In addition to opening an account and COD, for your convenience, we also accept Mastercard and Visa.

Our Open Account Terms are 2% discount for payment received within 10 days from date of invoice - excluding taxes, net 30 Days. Accounts over 30 days past due incur a 2% per month - 26.82% annual interest - service charge and will be reviewed prior to any further shipments being made. Your shipment may be delayed or withheld if your account is past due.

Pricing

Pricing to Canadian accounts will always be in Canadian dollars, and pricing to USA accounts will always be in USA dollars. All pricing on invoices is calculated and all applicable taxes and industry energy surcharges are extra. All pricing on invoices are calculated to the next even inch and there is a minimum charge of 3 square feet per lite.

Delivery

Barber Glass delivers throughout Southern Ontario between Windsor and Oshawa, North to Orangeville and through to and including Niagara Falls. Barber Glass will ship via cube van/rack truck or by flat deck with a hydraulic crane for off loading 4,000 lb cases / blocks and steel racks. Pick up is available by appointment. For shipment outside of our regular scheduled delivery area, we offer wooden cases, returnable steel racks and export packaging for exports. Wholesale glass is sold to the glass trade only.

Quotations

  • Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise requested.
  • Quotations and set-up charges are based on the complete requirement being shipped at one time to one location. If multiple releases are required, they may be subject to additional set-up and freight charges.
  • Replacement orders may have to be re-quoted, please contact our Estimating Department. Standard packaging will be quoted based on 2000 or 4000 lb. Cases. Non-standard boxing is available with pricing upon request.
  • All BGI fabricated products are produced to tolerances consistent with the intended normal end use by the trade. Special tolerances and inspection methods must be agreed to in writing at BGI.
  • Silk screen set-up will be based on registration to one: common corner, glass dimension, glass thickness. Deviations will be subject to additional set-up charges.
  • Set-up charges cannot be determined, in total, until BGI is in receipt of all final sizes. BGI will keep silk screen patterns in stock for three months following substantial completion of the order. After this period, additional silk screen charges may be incurred for further releases.
  • Maximum standard screen size is 48" x 96". Larger screens are available. Please contact our Estimating Department for possible additional charges.

    Templates

    All templates must be made of rigid material - masonite or plywood and be ¼" thick or less. Paper templates are not acceptable. If digitizing is required, there will be template processing fees as set forth in the standard terms of warranty.

    Shapes forwarded to BGI in an electronic format (DXF or DWG files containing line, circle or arc entities but not including polyline entities, in autocad 12-14) to; cad@barberglass.com OR shapes as detailed in our standard Shape Catalogue are only charged the standard shape charges related to fabrication and material.

    Warranty

  • BGI provides a limited Warranty. BGI will not accept any back charge or expense, including labour, for material modification, removal, inspection or re-installation.
  • BGI's warranty will be void in the event that full payment is not received for goods and services within the agreed upon terms of sale.
  • Glass breakage including spontaneous breakage in tempered glass is specifically excluded in all BGI product warranties.
  • BGI expressly disclaims any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose and any other obligation or liability not expressly set forth in a standard terms of warranty. BGI shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
