Barber Glass Industries is a leading manufacturer of fabricated glass and related products. Barber Glass has been meeting the needs of industrial, automotive and the architectural industry since 1883. We are a dynamic, aggressive company and are currently expanding our ongoing operations.
We are seeking qualified, enthusiastic and motivated personnel to fill the following key positions:

PRODUCTION MANAGER (Updated April 16th 2007)

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the candidate must be a strong strategic leader and forward thinker. The candidate must be driven by lean manufacturing concepts, customer satisfaction and teamwork. The Production Manager is responsible for the coaching, development and safety for all production personnel. The incumbent must be, cost-conscious, efficient, motivated and eager to meet any manufacturing challenge and opportunity.

The successful candidate will have at minimum 5 years of experience working in a Production Management role for high volume companies recognized for their operational excellence. An undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (Updated April 16th 2007)

Reporting to the Service Team Leader, the candidate’s responsibilities will include repair and routine preventative maintenance of the facility and equipment. The successful candidate will also be required to complete emergency repair, troubleshooting and reporting as required. As a multi-shift operation the candidate must be flexible to work varied shifts.

The successful candidate must be a Certified Industrial Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, must be a team player, possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. Electrical experience is an asset

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT (Updated April 16th 2007)

Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Jr. Accountant’s responsibilities will include all accounting functions for our Retail operation including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and general ledger maintenance. The incumbent will have additional responsibilities for the Wholesale operation involving sales reporting, credit processing, assisting with payroll/benefits and various month end /year end procedures.

The successful candidate will be a University/College Business Accounting graduate and be currently enrolled in either CGA or CMA program, possess strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, experience in Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel) and ACCPAC required. Previous experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment would be a definite asset.
